Nope, if 6 beats 3 they'd be at home against us in the semi.

Which basically says you're not guaranteed a home semi until the the semi finalists are known. If Munster get second seed and win, they won't know where they play the semi until the result of match 3v6 is known.

            Wallyman is correct.

We have the small matter of winning tomorrow though.

We won't "sneak" into second place. We'll get there by winning five out of six Heineken Cup matches, with a try bonus point in four of those having lost one match by two points in the final minute of the game.

Don't downplay what has been a magnificent series of performances by this team.

Qualified In their own hands Need results to go their way Need Major Miracles Can’t qualify
                Leinster
                Munster
                Clermont
                Saracens
                Connacht
                Wasps
                Toulouse
                Glasgow
                Toulon
                Montpellier
                Exeter
                Bordeaux-Begles
                Leicester
                Racing 92
                Zebre
                Llanelli
                Sale
                Castres
                Northampton
                Ulster
                Pool Four P W D L F A PD T Pts
                Leinster 6 4 1 1 227 63 140 31 23
                Montpellier 6 3 0 3 120 149 -29 15 16
                Castres 6 2 1 3 144 147 -3 15 12
                Northampton 6 2 0 4 91 199 -108 7 9

Leinster have got themselves a Home Quarter Final unless Connacht beat Toulouse by 61 and get a Bonus point win ( It would be difficult to win by 61 and not get a BP!!)

Montpellier have done what they needed to do to give themselves a chance. They must stay ahead of two of Glasgow (14 Pts, +31 PD, 12 T) Toulon (15, 27, 12) and Exeter (11, -14 9)

Two points would keep Glasgow ahead of Montpellier, one would do Toulon and a fiver would do Exeter. Montpellier have a chance.

                Castres and Northampton are history.

EDIT: Ulster needed Northampton to win tonight (but not by to much). They cannot catch Montpelierand never could catch Toulon so they can only catch Glasgow which is not enough.

Yes. We'll have a scrummaging unit for them this time...

To overtake Glasgow they need a fiver, Glasgow to get nowt and to overcome a 69 Point PD.
                    Not Going To Happen.
                    Are Ulster not gone already?

Even if they catch Glasgow and Exeter on 14 points, Toulon, Montpellier and Connacht/Wasps all already have more points than they can achieve.

Incorporating last night's results into what I think will happen
                          :
                          1. Clermont 26
                          2.Munster 25
                          3. Leinster 23
                          4. Wasps 22
                          5. Saracens 21
                          6. Toulon 19
                          7. Toulouse 18
                          8. Glasgow 18
                          9. Montpellier 16
                          10. Ulster 13

                          Leaving
                          Clermont v Glasgow
                          Munster v Toulouse
                          Leinster v Toulon
                          Wasps v Saracens

                          the Semi-Finals would be
Clermont /Glasgow v Wasps /Saracens in England if Saracens win, in France if Clermont and Wasps win and in Scotland if Glasgow and Wasps win.

Munster/Toulouse v Leinster/Toulon in France if Toulon or Toulouse win and in Ireland if Leinster and Munster win.

Nothing much changes, Munster and Leinster swap QF opponents.

EDIT Of course I got the Match Points wrong for both of last night's games so Terms and Conditions apply.

Bold totals are final scores, the rest are predictions.

I fancy Connacht to get the bonus point they need, either for tries or finishing within 7. Can't shake the feeling it'll be Glasgow again for us!

Big, big game to win today first though. There can be no complacency this afternoon.

                              I'd take Glasgow for sure.

Similarly to Connacht we will know exactly what we need come kick off to secure 1st or 2nd seeds, preferably 2nd.
