            Yup.

(Is this the quietest match thread ever?)

Theyre Ulster refs. They are irish but are neutral.
Its most likely cost issue and not having to bring over 3 from Wales/wherever for a game. Who do you use then?

Banner ads on here for Connacht v Ospreys on 27 Feb seem a bit incongruous. The economics of running a free site.

Its an Irish team v a Welsh one, It shouldnt be a Welsh ref. I can handle that costs are involved but surely same cost as bringing a ref in from Scotland.
After getting screwed over as a Connacht supporter were more used to it.
When their numbers dwindled from 50 to 8, the other dwarves began to suspect Hungry

It is very quiet, especially considering Sunday is a bit of an 8 point game.

I don't think it has to be 'not a welsh ref'. Same for games between Munster and say Glasgow. Ideally it should be ref from another country but no issue with an Ulster Society or ARCB/ARLB affiliated referee doing the game

It doesnt help, I hate having any of the Irish refs working on Connacht games. But a Welsh ref for the Munster Ospreys game could well make a mistake, a genuine mistake that could make it look like his looking after Welsh clubs and their entry into top tier competitions.

Agreed there, if we beat them, then they are out of the running to finish ahead of us.

Might be a quiet thread but the local fans need to get behind Munster for this above any other match so far. European rugby for next season is at stalk. We are 6 points clear of Ospreys with a match in hand. It pretty much knocks them out of euro qualifications next year (failure to finish in top 6 & not the top Welsh ream). It's only Edinburgh (Glasgow should finish as the top Scottish team) we need to concern ourselves with then. Hence, if this happens, and we finish as the 4th province its European rugby next season. Wish I could get down from north Kildare, just have to watch it on TV.

                                Brian Walsh:

"Despite some injuries and the internationals being away, we have a lot of confidence in the guys that are coming in. Andrew Conway is back from injury and Darren Sweetnam for example did really well against Zebre and hopefully now he can push on. Ronan O'Mahony and the Scannell brothers Rory and Niall are among others who have impressed of late. It's through these times that we find out a lot more about the younger guys and we hope that we'll see another one or two bolters in the coming weeks."
