    Scarlets V Munster Friday 23d October 19:05

This will be a very tough game for us.

Scarlets are going well at the moment.

    Can we win?

We go there as lax as we were on Saturday, we'll get our collective hoop re-bored.

We need to win this one.

Agreed T78 - Scarlets will be there or thereabouts come end of season so we need to get our noses in front
"There are a lot of points that we’ve left behind and this is with a young group. That probably tells you what they’re capable of and that they’re a very good side.

Probably next year or the year after next they will take some stopping"

If we cut out the silly penalties and manage to reduce the missed tackles that we had v Cardiff (and Grenoble) then a Munster win in
Parc y Scarlets should be achievable.

          Squad Update

As the squad gathered in Limerick today to commence preparations for Scarlets there were no fresh injury concerns following Saturday's round 4 encounter against Cardiff.

There was further positive news with Denis Hurley and Tomás O'Leary both reporting no ill effects following their return to action from respective ankle and neck/groin injuries.

Stephen Archer's (neck) surgery has been confirmed for tomorrow while Peter O'Mahony is expected to undergo surgery in the next few weeks once his knee settles further after rupturing his ACL in Ireland's World Cup victory against France.

Academy second row John Madigan is another expected to be side-lined for a number of months with a similar knee injury and is also awaiting surgery.

Tyler Bleyendall who missed out on the latter stages of training last week due to illness was back involved in today's squad session, while Billy Holland (ankle)is moving closer to a return to full training.

Johnny Holland (hamstring), Tommy O'Donnell (hip), and Peter McCabe (pectoral muscle) all continue with their respective rehab programmes.

Meanwhile Uruguayan prop Mario Sagario was training with the squad in a trial capacity today. Sagario who possesses an Italian passport featured for his country at this year's Rugby World Cup and previously played for RC Massy in the French PRO D2.

Jesus, that's some tale of woe. What's the average recovery time for a ruptured ACL, 8 months?

FFS that is the first time I have seen POM confirmed as ruptured ACL. If we see him this season it will be a miracle. F'cking hell!!!

It's a balls that John Madigan is out injured, he looks like a serious prospect.

Naturally, losing POM for (most likely) the season is a huge, huge blow, but one small crumb of comfort is that it will give Dave O'Callaghan plenty of time to accelerate his development.

I imagine it will depend on how the surgery goes. Hopefully it won't be that long.
While you can't rush coming back from an ACL injury, POM works incredibly hard in rehab. So hopefully he'll be ready to come back as soon as possible.

Stringer is bigger even than his own immense shadow. Pound for pound, he is the best tackler in the world. If you put him into bag of cats he\'d come out without a scratch. He was hit very late for Murphy\'s try. And when he got up, as we knew he would, the crowd cried his name as if he had just fixed the economy.Billy Keane-After Munster\'s famous loss to the AB\'s.

I think I saw Segario floating around the bench area at the Cardiff match, assumed he was someone media related at the time Interesting, hopefully he is more successful than Diego.

Well, real shame for Madigan. Thought he looked all set to have a breakthrough season and we'll need him. Still, Foley Ryan and Chisholm is a solid trio if they can stay fit.
