    Axel's Backroom Staff

    O'Driscoll On Board

    Axel's first appointment:

Mick O'Driscoll is in line to join the Munster Rugby backroom staff for the next two years as Technical Advisor. The role will also include responsibility for the Munster A squad.

Incoming Head Coach Anthony Foley is in the process of identifying his back-room team for next season and his first appointment will see former colleague Micko come on board on July 1st.
    EDIT
Opps. I see this has been posted on another, already existing thread. Mods, how do I delete this thread?

Also announced on the Evening Echo, which also says that Eric Elwood is in the mix to be made backs coach, surprisingly.

Really surprised at this, as there were strong rumours that Cork Con's outsider head coach Tom Mulcahy was going to be sent on his way in favour of Micko, as the Con heads were unhappy with the team performance but wanted to bring Micko on.

I suppose in one way it doesn't matter too much who is Forwards Coach as you can bet they'll be under heavy guidance of Axel, so it would be sort of on the job training. No surprise it's someone from Cork Con though !

Heard a credible person reference EOS for the job of backs coach.

Not saying he is right but he usually talks sense . . .not a dowlinz type fella ya know.
