    Paul O'Connell a superhero - confirmed

On the day that's in it, it's only fair to give mention to some astonishing investigative journalism by the Irish Independent that has proved the superhero status of our great captain-for-the-day ...

THE Heineken Cup all started for Paul O'Connell when he began to hop over the wall that stood between his school, Ardscoil Ris, and the hallowed Thomond Park turf.

That's one small leap for POC, but one giant leap for ...... etc., etc.

    GWAN MUNSTER!!
"I don't believe in fairytales," O'Connell once told me, "even though it feels like I've been lucky enough to live through a few. However it ends, I'll feel lucky."
