Definitely looking forward to this doc.

The photo says a lot, clearly it was a snapshot of 2 fellas looking at a town they're visiting.

It's what it signifies though, that his battle with Sexton is a definer of his career, whereas I'd see it as a chapter, not a full blown plot.

Finger pointing, there's a plot, under the posts in Bordeaux, pointing at the Australian with his eyelid in three pieces, over the hoarding in Lansdowne, running back in the millennium and turning his back on Northampton.

      The little engine that could.

Just for those who couldn't find it. It's not in the rugby section of the Examiner for some reason.

Rog, a big JJ fan it would appear. Seems to think he is the 10 to challenge sexton long term rather than madigan or jackson! Who would like to see penny do as rog says and install jj as number 1

I don't know about anyone else but this whole Sexton/O'Gara rivalry has been done to death at this stage. They both played the same position, both wanted to start and neither liked each other. Big deal.

Two or three years later and people still keep harping on about it. Getting very tiresome at this stage now.

Yes - he's not only supportive of JJ, but suggests that he needs to be picked now, even if he isn't ready yet ....
"But will he get that opportunity for Munster? That’s the key question, because it looks like Rob Penney is a big Ian Keatley fan.

The problem starts when JJ Hanrahan becomes a jack of all trades across the backline, and isn’t allowed become a master of the 10 position. You can’t allow that to happen. You’ll have so-called rugby experts talking about ‘getting him on the pitch’, and ‘have all your best players playing’, but Hanrahan and Keatley are two 10 and a decision has to be made on which is your standout talent to nurture in the position going forward. Obviously, there are occasions when a specialist has to help the team out, but if that’s over a six-to-12 month period, that becomes detrimental to his general development at an out-half. "

Mossy Lawlor on TG4 at the moment saying much the same thing ...

A bit of a come back down to earth for all this JJ lording now after tonight.

He still has loads to learn.

And the place to learn it is in the field of dreams, whilst winning with match-winning plays and getting mistakes aplenty out of his system.

                      Freudian slip from ROG?

If they can jizz up the backline…

Shane Horgan has said as much a few times too, in fact I think he said JJ might even be the first choice out half for Ireland, he stuttered it and was being interrupted so not sure did he mean top out half or top of the chasers to Sexton.

Jonny to 12 or 22, in time and all shall be well with Ireland imho.

Agreed, a poor enough game finished with a brilliant piece of precision, a cool head under pressure grinding out results, its the Munster way

I know JJ is a supremely talented rugby player, but I'm not so sure that he can make it as a Loose Head.
