Thanks for that S5. Hope he recovers quickly, I hate seeing that happen to any player.

On another topic, has there been any update about Tommy? Not holding my breath for good news, but he was back sooner than expected last time after doing his ankle so I'm still keeping my fingers crossed.
    Tis but a scratch.

      Update from Munster site:

The Munster Rugby Medical Department have issued the below update following Saturday’s win over Dragons at Rodney Parade.

There were no new injury concerns following the game. Sammy Arnold suffered a leg injury in training last week and will be managed by the medical department.

Alex Wootton suffered a concussion while in action for Garryowen on Friday and will follow the return to play protocol under the supervision of the medical department.

Tommy O’Donnell will attend a specialist this week for opinion on need for surgery on his shoulder injury.

Chris Cloete is being managed by the medical department after a minor aggravation of his recent neck injury and is expected back to play in the next few weeks.

The following are progressing with rehabilitation: Brian Scott (foot), James Cronin (leg), Tadhg Beirne (knee), Jack O’Donoghue (knee), Dave O’Callaghan (foot), Tommy O’Donnell (shoulder), JJ Hanrahan (hip).

"There are a lot of points that we’ve left behind and this is with a young group. That probably tells you what they’re capable of and that they’re a very good side.

Probably next year or the year after next they will take some stopping"

Jesus if it is indeed another surgery for Tommy he must be one of the unluckiest rugby players ever. Fingers crossed he is back sooner than expected again
Good things happen to those who wait, though mostly much too late.

Looks like CJ out for a month. Good news for Munster, not so good for Ireland

Conway sent home for a week after a tight leg or something. Earls rested after picking up a knock. The sooner the people of Munster breakaway and form the People's Republic of Greater Caaaark Boi, the sooner we don't need to send players to get injured with the Green Monkey's.

Silver lining for Ireland is that it gives Joe a chance to test Seanie out at 8. Potentially a much better alternative than Conan.

Injuries are unfortunate but it’s better our depth is tested now than in the summer. The situation at lock is similar, if a bit extreme.

great to see Jack O’Donoghue back, cracking player, bad news on tod though and sammy

Jack O’Donoghue (knee) has returned to squad training and will look to return to play over the coming weeks.

JJ Hanrahan (hip) returned to squad training last week.

Andrew Conway has returned to full training with the province after presenting with some calf tightness on international duty.

CJ Stander is rehabbing a facial injury at the province.

Sammy Arnold will be unavailable for selection over the next few weeks due to a hairline fracture of his fibula.

Tommy O’Donnell (AC Joint) underwent surgery last week and has commenced his rehabilitation programme with the medical department.

The following are progressing with rehabilitation: Brian Scott (foot), James Cronin (leg), Tadhg Beirne (knee), Dave O’Callaghan (foot), Tommy O’Donnell (shoulder), CJ Stander (face), Sammy Arnold (leg).

It's not saying much about Tadhg's prospects is it?

I hope Conway gets to play this week and then gets back into consideration for Italy and the rest of the 6N. Agree great news on JOD.

"I don't believe in fairytales," O'Connell once told me, "even though it feels like I've been lucky enough to live through a few. However it ends, I'll feel lucky."

Great to see French and O’Sullivan back training, of the u20s thought they had the best chance of progressing quickly. Loads of potential.
