Positives: defence, scrum, Joey’s back, JOD, Fineen, JOS

Negatives: decision making, errors (although fair play to Leinster’s defence), lineout, Frank fecking Murphy
Agreed with this. Maybe adding we had no shape to our attack. Any time it went past 12, we were isolated and the forwards ran too close to ruck or were isolated and easy to defend. Playing Goggin on the wing was a poor choice.

If there were events in that game that the ref missed, particularly the Ros# Byrne haul down, I hope Munster learn from the Saracens experience and cite where appropriate.
No one will thank you for doing otherwise and overall it is in the interests of the game.

There is some favour for whatever towards Arnold. He makes all the big game squads this year

I thought we had more first 15 players than them mind.
I hope we can beat them later in the year if they are already qualified.
Great Munster effort. Sadly not good enough.
Great kicks from JJ for goal either side of half time but Ross Byrne demonstrated why he is the heir apparent for the Ireland 10 shirt. JJ can have no complaints based on tonight’s game.
Throwing those points against Edinburgh may prove costly if we don’t progress from our HEC group.
What? This drives me insane. What does JJ have to do with Byrne. An unnecessary dig. You don’t need to put one player down to praise another. JJ could do nothing more in the first half playing in to that gale except nail his kick. Worryingly he seemed to go off injured. Can we not have two fit 10’s at once.
The Maul is Back!! LONG LIVE THE MAUL!!

Stringer is bigger even than his own immense shadow. Pound for pound, he is the best tackler in the world. If you put him into bag of cats he\'d come out without a scratch. He was hit very late for Murphy\'s try. And when he got up, as we knew he would, the crowd cried his name as if he had just fixed the economy.Billy Keane-After Munster\'s famous loss to the AB\'s.

The Bull-Truly irreplaceable, a mountain of a man. 100 caps!!

Can we all agree Frank shouldn’t ref this fixture again?

Great win for us but you kept letting us off the hook. Some great performances on both sides. Fenian started like a man possessed and JOD stood out and for us Fardo, Doris and Ross.

Cheers for the good night out as always
“One, Fineen needs to be louder, angrier, and have access to a time machine. Two, whenever Fineen’s not on field, all the other players should be asking 'Where's Fineen?

"There are a lot of points that we’ve left behind and this is with a young group. That probably tells you what they’re capable of and that they’re a very good side.

Probably next year or the year after next they will take some stopping"

Would certainly offered us some go forward ball. Arnold isn't powerful or elusive enough and rarely gives go forward ball. He also fell for the ancient wrap around Hook line and sinker.

We have no bulk at 2nd row, Wycherly needs to concentrate on BR, he nowhere near big enough for 2nd row.
Badly need a big 2nd row signing for next season and it's coming.

It's not all about pure bulk. According to web data, Fineen is the same weight (17.6 st) as Ireland's best lock, James Ryan (though Ryan is taller, and so probably skinnier.) Thought Wycherley played well. He's tough and athletic and will put on some weight soon enough. He's a great prospect and will improve with game time at the top level.

This game had the feel of half time minis on TV, some concern overgulf in class between 1st 15 and bozos on pitch tonight

They were playing 10 against each other. They are directly opposite each other on the field. Byrne managed the conditions better in my view

Is not a direct comparison of the opposite numbers perfectly legit in any post match analysis?

He's not much use at the lineout. Stats online have him at 6ft 3 or 6ft 4. If so that's too small for a lock. Especially one alongside Holland. We were battered by their 2nd row.

Point on the game laws if ball is passed back into 22 and clearance kicked to touch , direct out it goes back that's fine if it clips the line does it go back too ?

Byrne was unlucky not to get on a plane to japan. Unless Joey has a stormer in the next two games I expect Byrne to bench in six nations. Jj is behind Sexton. Byrne/ carberry and burns in farrells eyes.
