Thank you for posting this, surprising there are rounds on the same weekend as PRO14, with lads still busy in Japan- but suppose no other option. Lots of opportunities for some of the fringe players and you get lads.

Thanks for this. Johann Van Graan mentioned in an interview yesterday (I have put the video in the 2019-2020 season thread) that they are working with 25 players in pre-season including academy players. I guess a lot depends on how many of the 15 players in Irish camp are sent back but it would be hard to put out both Celtic cup and Pro-14 squads at the same time unless they bring in quite a few players from the clubs

Any venue info? Will they be in Musser and/or Thomond, or will the Clubs or the RSC get any?

Only know the weekends. Will have to wait for venues.

Would be good if games were played in provincial club venues as liked that a lot about B&I cup
great less of a direct clash with AIL with only 1 round clashing.
Would be very surprised if venues for Munster games announced yet

Players not likely to make the senior 23 -

              LHP: Wycherley/French
              Hooker: Barron/Clarke
THP: Knox (with Scott still injured may need a club player - Luke Masters)
2nd row: Aherne/Kelly/Eoin O'Connor maybe DOS or Sean O'Connor depending on who is brought to Japan
back row: Jack O'S, Daly, Hodnett, Oliver
              9: Casey, Cronin, Stafford
              10 Healy, Flannery
              Centre: McHenry, Nash, French, (Arnold/Goggin)
Back three: Wren, Tynan, Liam Coombes,

              assumes a senior 23 of (Cronin/O'Connor/Loughman, O'Byrne/Marshall, Archer/Parker, Billy/Wycherley/DOS/SOC maybe Kleyn, Botha/Cloete/Coombes/JOD/TOD, Mathewson/McCarthy, JJ/Tyler, Rory Scans/Goggin, Sweetnam/Haley/Daly/Wooten)

So overall not much need for club players - Some injury cover needed obviously.

I would guess that all games will be played in Musgrave again. They've changed the pitch for a reason.

One of Goggin/Arnold not making the 23 seems quite a call, but I see why.

First competitive game of the season this Friday in Musgrave. Munster A v Ospreys. Not much build-up being done on the munsterrugby site or social media feeds. Seems like a lost opportunity to me. Could easily get 4-5k in on a Friday evening before the schools are back in full swing. Especially given that Leinster come to town two seeks after that and there are no clashes with intercounty GAA, club rugby or the senior side.

Anyone know if there will be a live stream of this as was done for some A games last year?

Yes- lots of questions about this...last I saw there weren’t kick off times etc- but I may have missed it. It feels like media/clubs etc are avoiding clashing with WC promotion, but it’s. Very useful and timely competition for us this year. Hoping to get to a couple of games- great opportunity to see what’s coming through.

Probably, if you know where it is being played, no news on a venue afaik just know it is a19:30 KO.

Could be in PUC for all we know that could be why they are keeping it secret :D
