    Europe 19/20 group draw

    Sarries, Racing and Osprey's.

Looks like it will be won the hard way!

pretty tough draw; leinster will walk thru to the KO stage with minimal difficulty unless their wheels fall off.

For the life of me I'm convinced Leinster have had a fairly handy group for at least 10 of the last 12 years! Tough group for Munster. What may seem like a mountain in June may not turn out to be as difficult in Nov/Dec. Teams don't always hit their peaks in group stages. Bar possibly Saracens away I would be hopeful that Munster could win most of their games

Leinster might as well be given a bye to the playoff rounds

Talk about a pool of death for you guys. There will be some great matches and occasions anyway - a lot to look forward to.

Leinster meanwhile get a pool of life. How did Lyon end up in the second pot anyway?

Three serious candidates for Semi Final slots in one group.

The only ones with a worse draw are Ospreys...

Jaysus - seems we play the same teams every second year. Usually it's Gloucester. Have we ever been drawn with an Italian team? Don't think so...

Not even a good away trip to get excited about. Sarries and Swansea are absolute kips and I've been to Paris and Racing 4 times in the last few years.

Wouldn't mind writing this year off as lowering expectations for the new coaches to bed in their ideas and bringing through some of the young talent during a world cup season.

Because Clermont were drawn into tier 1 (out of the the 2nd place finishers) Lyon were pulled up into tier 2 as third french qualifier.

Other than last season we haven't had Gloucester in our group alot. From recollection 2013 and 2002.(edit I meant 2002 not 2001)

Well we at least have two more opportunities to improve on our last results against both Saracens and Racing. Hopefully our backs can be linked more effectively to our forwards and be a bit more imaginative this season.

                            Another group of death
"The PRO12 is our domestic league, it's what you earn your bread and butter from; it's what pays the bills. We need to broaden our emphasis and get an understanding in Irish rugby that the domestic league from now on is most important and that's what qualifies you now for Europe.'' Nightmare. Win the home games and then pray.
