    Conference A

    Glasgow (Scotland 1)
    Leinster (Ireland 2)
    Ulster (Ireland 3)
    Ospreys (Wales 1)
    Dragons (Wales 4)
    Zebre (Italy 2)
    Cheetahs (South Africa 1)

    Conference B

    Edinburgh (Scotland 2)
    Munster (Ireland 1)
    Connacht (Ireland 4)
    Cardiff Blues (Wales 2)
    Scarlets (Wales 3)
    Benetton (Italy 1)
    Southern Kings (South Africa 2)
Seems a bit odd that the rankings are based solely on the points tally. Munster ending up being Ireland 1 while Leinster are reigning champions does not make sense. Unless this is an incentive for teams to keep going for points despite having a SF spot secured but would make more sense if this was known to all at the start of the season...

Also the current conference A is Ireland 1&4 + Wales 2&3 + Scotland 1 + Italy 2 + South Africa 1 so the above means Irish and Welsh teams are now switched. Not that I would complain about avoiding both Leinster and Glasgow in our conference
Good things happen to those who wait, though mostly much too late.

The above conferences have now been confirmed. No excuses now for not getting a home semi in 2020.

I mostly agree, but can also see Connacht having a really strong season if they continue to improve. The WC will have an impact, Munster are going to be missing a good number of players for the first few months of the season, Connacht less so. They have a real chance to rack up maximum points during that period, Munster may be finding their feet with whatever changes Larkham makes and a number of backups playing big minutes.

Only one team in our Conf failed to make 50 points last season, three teams in the other Conf failed to make 50.
            Munster – Champions of Europe 2006, 2008, 2020.

Wasn't it the last RWC year when Connaucht won the league?

And presumably two games on South Africa- hopefully not the week before a semi final.

If the fixtures list when ever it comes out has us visiting South Africa for two games close to the semi finals or Champions Cup play offs we will hopefully be in a position to use our squad and not flog our frontliners to death before the big games.

Not necessarily. We're back to zero when it comes to the fixtures so we don't know if it's 10 or 11 home games this year or which of the next two seasons the double SA trip happens. Both seasons will be laid out when we get this seasons fixtures.

Ah- thanks- didn’t realise it was such a dramatic rebuild. Hard to see why they wouldn’t just keep up with the alternation, but I take your point completely.

Yes, 2015-2016 was when they won the pro14.
