Heineken Champions Cup - Round 3 - Munster v Castres

    Ref: JP Doyle (England)
Assis Ref 1: Tom Foley (England)
Assis Ref 2: Paul Dix (England)
    TMO: David Grashoff (England)

Need to win this one, well if possible.
Castres currently second in this pool and with the away fixture next up, we cannot afford to let them hope too much.

They just lost at home to the 13th in the TOP14, not sure whether that's good or bad news for us. They might decide they cannot afford to waste energy in the HCC but they might also decide their current situation is better in the HCC than the TOP14 and that it's worth going at it full tilt.

Nuff said, need to hammer them.
    Starts
    9th-December-2018 12:00
    Ends
    9th-December-2018 14:00
    Location
    Thomond Park, Limerick

Good things happen to those who wait, though mostly much too late.

Agen beat Castres in Castres today, French site says Castres very indisciplined and lost at the end. Losing at home to team second from bottom not great preparation for a trip to Limerick.

I would have to disagree with you there it sounds ideal preparation.

No JJ got a try at the death to win it in Perpignan
"There are a lot of points that we’ve left behind and this is with a young group. That probably tells you what they’re capable of and that they’re a very good side.

Probably next year or the year after next they will take some stopping"

There are rules against having a ref from your own country and top man Doyler has managed to circumvent them.

                Gwan Doyler.

He has never done us any favours.

In the USAP game referred to above, they infringed seven times at a close-in Scrum (yes, I was counting) before he gave the Pen Try.

For the yellow card I meant
I was lucky enough to attend this one and I am nowhere near forgetting that try

Doyler always seems determined to prove he’s not biased towards the Irish, so much so that he is biased against us. He’s also a persnickety self-important ref who likes to be centre of attention.

in the Toulouse game last year he did give that impression.

...but we know deep down he will be routing for us.

What team can we expect for this one?

Kilcoyne, N Scannell, Ryan, Holland, Beirne, PoM, Cloete, CJ, Murray, Carberry, Earls, R Scannell, Farell, Conway, Haley,

KoB, Cronin, Archie, Wycherley, Botha, Mathewson (or Williams if not fit), Blyendaal, Arnold (Or Sweetnam as Blyendaal also covers center)

Looking forward to see Murray and Carberry play together and to their magic.
