    The crack in Cardiff ?

Has to be my favourite rugby venue over the years and have always enjoyed the crack in Mary street and beyond. For people who were at the Canada match, there seemed to be a good atmosphere in the Arms park watching the Japan match. Is that the place to be for the Wales v Aussie match on the saturday? Did they jack up the beer prices at it? Also, just wondering did they relax the no jerseys rule over that weekend in bars and clubs?

In 02, they wouldn't let us into the pubs!

in 06 & 08, there was no problems wearing jerseys before and after the match in pubs. However, if you left a pub after 9pm and wanted to go to another pub, there was a strict no jersey rule in most pubs and clubs. (Other than walkabout and probably o neills). The night before the match, there certainly was a no jersey rule all over the town. Hopefully for the World cup it will be frre to wear colours the entire weekend

So they gouge you for hotel prices and then tell you what you can wear.

I have been going to Cardiff to the Wales Ireland game since 1989. Count in the '02, '06 and '08 Munster games and the Celtic league Final in '03.

I have never been refused entry to a pub because I have been wearing a Jersey.

No issue with wearing jerseys in the pubs, but be warned prices are jacked up all over the place, so may need to sell the jersey off your back to pay for everything ha ha. Craic is mighty over there, so many Irish are coming into Cardiff for the match, some just to spend time enjoying the atmosphere, so sleep well before you go, because you may not see a bed all week-end.

                  So what were the reasons?

Just as a reminder, we have our second Official Irish Supporter RWC party in Cardiff this Saturday night....

IRFU have a few clips from London last Saturday up here:

                      https://t.co/Vj9PGHP05Q
                      https://t.co/yrXbeFYNMt

This time we welcome Irish rugby legends David Humphreys (72 Irish caps/560 points), Denis Hickie (62 Irish Caps / 29 tries/2005 Lions tourist) and Mick Galway (41 Irish caps/ 1993 Lions Tourist) as the panelist’s for the Official Ireland v France RWC Pre-Match Party taking place in Pryzm in central Cardiff. MC for the night is RTE’s Michael Corcoran.

We will also have the key pool fixture Wales V Australia being shown earlier in the venue live before our Q&A, a special Irish rugby video with Irish band Hermitage Green headlining the music on the night. Uk#1 DJ Sigala is also on the bill for later into the night.
The RWC Irish fan events see the official IrishRugby Supporters Club and all four of the official provincial Supporters Clubs along with London Irish collaborate for the first time.

A night not to be missed after an excellent evening in London last Saturday and we have a commitment with the venue that drink prices will remain normal levels and wont be jacked up(everything pretty much £3-£4 apart from premium drinks)

                      Limited tickets available from http://tiny.cc/GreenWCparties

There was definitely no ruling concept for Jersey all over the city. Hopefully for the Globe cup it will be free to put on colors for the whole weekend
