    Pro 12 Fixtures 15/16

Has anyone heard when the initial fixture schedule (opponents/general weekends) will be announced for the upcoming season? Was July 10th last year. Will obviously have to wait until later in the summer for confirmed kick offs/dates (was August 11th last year) due to the many broadcasters covering the Pro 12.

They are. Were announced in May. Just wondering if there is any sign of any fixtures. The Premiership announced theirs last week.

IIRC it was mid to late July last year.

              that's a cop out.

The Nigels are able to produce a full set of fixtures for the premiership in the country hosting the world cup.

The Nigels don't have to deal with 4 countries and a mad amount of broadcasters though.

I think this line of having to deal/talk to multiple broadcasters is bollix. There is no set of fixtures publish, only the weekends.
I dont see think they are talking to broadcasters at all. if they were, then they should be able to publish at least the first 5 to 6 rounds of fixtures complete with the broadcaster etc, but that doesnt happen for another month.

They have announced the weekends. That's the hard part. Of course they have failed to draw up a coherent set of fixtures in any season so far. Why should this season be any different?

Would not mind waiting a bit longer if we actually get confirmed kick off times/dates. If it is next week I fear it will just be fixtures on general weekends with confirmed kick offs/actual dates to come later.

Only the first weekend's fixtures are confirmed. The others, we know oppo and weekend but no more.

Dates and kick off times for rounds 1-11 (upto Christmas) will apparently be out this week. An announcement on the final venue will also apparently be made before the season starts - no idea who has bid/not bid.

Simon Thomas (Welsh journalist) has tipped Thomond Park to host the final this season.

He is my "source" for the latest fixture news. Good person to follow on twitter. Interesting to see who bids for it, unlikely to be Belfast again and the IRFU would probably submit one of Dublin/Limerick. The Welsh weren't interested last year, could see Glasgow bidding again.
