    Match Day Info - Marseille

Might be an idea to post any info here lads. Internet is scarce round here so it'll save fellas scrolling the match thread looking for it.

    Meeting places?
    Team bus arrival?
    Public transport?
The whole world cries out peace, freedom and a few less fat bastards eating all the pie.

Was talking to a fella there who said Munster bus due at around 1:40 don't know how accurate that is

      Meeting Points

All venues will show the first semi-final on Saturday, Saracens v Clermont Auvergne, KO; 15:40 (16:40 French time)
On Sunday, the MRSC will be joined by the Toulon Supporters Club at O'Bradys Irish Bar where you can travel to the stadium with their supporters on a red double decker coach. With refreshments and entertainment on board, this free hop on hop off service will add to the carnival atmosphere en route to the Stade Velodrome. See the bus for yourself by clicking here.

Play your part in the Sea of Red at the Stade Velodrome. Keep your eyes peeled as Munster Rugby flags will be given out before the game on Sunday at the following locations.
      O'Bradys Irish Bar (see above)
      Outside the Stade Velodrome
At the coach parking area alongside the Stade Velodrome

      Stadium Activity

Munster Rugby encourages all supporters to arrive early and make the 16th Man heard as soon as the players take to the pitch for their warm up. The team are scheduled to arrive at the stadium between 3 and 3:15 local time.
Make your voice heard when Cara O'Sullivan performs Stand Up And Fight ten minutes before kick-off.
A Guard Of Honour made up of 6 Munster supporters and 6 Toulon Supporters will line the tunnel as both teams make their way on to the field for kick-off. Also keep an eye out for Munster's mascot Oscar who will be at the Stade Velodrome and around Marseille all weekend, posing for photographs and gearing fans up for the game in his own inimitable way!

      Travel information

Stade Vélodrome is located in the south of the city of Marseille, about 3.5 kilometres from Marseille's city centre and a kilometre more from central railway station Saint-Charle.
From the Airport, take the A55 in the direction of the city centre and follow the arrows. The journey should take around 25 minutes.
By Metro, take Line 2. Catch the metro southbound at any of the stops in the city centre (e.g. Jules Guesde, Saint-Charles or Noailles), and get off at either Rond-Point du Prado or Sainte Marguerite Dromel (both located at different sides of Stade Vélodrome)
The whole world cries out peace, freedom and a few less fat bastards eating all the pie.

Lots of Munster action around Vieux Port - we definitely outnumber the opposition in this area at present. However noisy & exuberant Toulon fans gathering at O Quinze on Rue Breteuil while Munster fans making for The Shamrock & O'Malleys both on Quai De Rive Neuve as well as many cafés, brasseries and bars all around the port. Sunscreen definitely required - that sun is hot and the breeze makes it deceptive. Marseille Ferris Wheel will run till 22 or 23 according to the ticket seller who also reckons Munster 'va gagner'!!! Metro especially around Gare St Charles is already pretty full - trains only every 12-15 minutes on a Sunday so be sure to leave yourself enough time if taking metro. Walk from Vieux Port to Stade Velodrome is a pleasant one hour stroll not including stops along the way.

I'm heading for O'Brady's out near the grounds now. Allez les rouges! (Well our shade of rouge anyway)
\"Whoso would be a man, must be a non-conformist, and preferably play in the pack.\" - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Temperature for Kickoff is expected to be 20C but the RealFeel from the wind will drop that to 18C.

The Humidity will be about 38%, which is fine. Wind 34Km/hr WNW, Cloud Cover 41%

Here in Cork it will be 15C, RealFeel 14C and Humidity 66%. Wind 13Km/hr North, Cloud Cover 66%

So overall, a breezy not overly warm day.

In my part of Cork Temp 40C humidity sweating buckets
