    Rugby Boots

My young lad needs to get a new pair of rugby boots, as he's growing out of them at a rate of knots. Up to now he's been using ones passed down from older cousins etc.

A question for any of those on the site who are still fortunate enough to be young and playing rugby. Is there any particular boot you'd recommend? something in the mid-range. He grows out of them too quick to be buying very expensive ones. Thanks in advance

I'd be interested in that too, for the same reason

Probably next year or the year after next they will take some stopping"

Just make sure you get ones with studs and not blades

            Mizunos. A grand boot.

              Rugby Boots

Doing trip tomorrow re this & have the same myself the past few years with the eldest (camoige) and the middle fella, while he's all about F50's and T90's tbh I'd just go into whatever store and find the ones on sale. not spending 90e on some that last for half a season at the rate their young feet are growing. With luck can get a pair for 20e

Most if the high brand soccer boots are far too light these days, imo. It's far more important to get a dedicated rugby boot than it was a few years ago, when the differences were less marked.

I like Canterbury and Mizuno, but have usually plumped for Puma Kings the last few years as they're easy to get in a relatively plain black and white.

Avoiding bright yellow and pink has become a job in itself.

No blades. No fancy dan day glo colours. don't spend a fortune on boots that he'll use for one season. I have every size from 8 down with the third fella just moving up to size 1. Every pair has been used on at least two pairs of feet and the majority are pristine. Go with a heavy, big studded boot that costs less than 30 squiddles. Spend money on mizunos or similar when his feet slow down.
Usually good deals in Heatons/MandMdirect and most sale rails in the usual stores.

Cheers Dsennah, there's a Heaton's nearby. Might bring him in as a treat after his game v Con tomorrow

If a back go with Adidas f50 - can be around 50-60e in adult sizes

Forward look at Mizuno similar in price but tougher and heavier boot

ADD: or the adidas predators can be gotten cheap, and aren't ridiculous colours like the f50s
