**IMPORTANT NOTICE - IBIS HOTEL SWANSEA**

The news is that there is NO IBIS in Swansea.

I booked 3 nights in this hotel, and wanted to cancel two nights and stay one night.
When I went on the site to do this, it would not recognise my Confirmation Numbers.
I then rang the UK Call Centre, and they told me that they have no IBIS in Swansea.
I have to contact the marketing people tomorrow, but if you have this booked, please look for alternative accomodation for the Quarter Final.
I have now booked into the Village Hotel.

Can one of the MODS make this a sticky for a couple of weeks?

I had booked the Ibis in Swansea which according to the website at the time was due to open in early March. I cancelled it because we decided to stay in Bristol as we were arriving ona late flight and departing on a lunchtime flight so it was more convenient to stay in Bristol. Swansea is two hours away by train and if we missed the train, we would be knackered for the flight home.

We are staying in Ibis Bristol instead and are hiring a car which is cheaper that a train fair.

Defeats at the hands of France and Wales had put paid to their title aspirations, never mind a Grand Slam, but yesterday’s emphatic 24-8 win shows that this is a team moving in the right direction."

Might not be called an Ibis. This is the hotel unless I'm mistaken.

Yes but it is due to be taken over by the Accor hotel group, so hopefully this is just a misunderstanding. All should become clear tomorrow.

The story the Ramada are saying is : The IBIS started selling the rooms before they actually bought the Ramada (which still has not taken place), so any rooms booked on the Accor website are non existant.

Furthermore they have a limited amount of rooms left and surprise surprise, they are twice the price as before i.e. £99 a night.

I was lucky, I got in to the Village next door, so no harm done there, thanx be to god, but it is bad form that we didn't receive any contact from Ibis.

Very poor form by the Ibis Group.

Be careful. Village have double charged a few peoples credit cards. I posted on this last week.

I've reported this to my cc co. and am awaiting a call back from Village a/c's.
