Girlfriend\'s English Boss: That Gaelic Football you lot play is a bit mad isn\'t it?

Girlfriend: That\'s nothing, you should watch a game of hurling. Think hockey except the ball is harder, it flies around the place and the sticks have bits of metal on the end of them.

        GEB: Woah, sounds dangerous.

GF: Yeah, you can understand why some lads wear helmets, sure people have died.

GEB: What, from being hit in the head?

GF: No, they were shot by the English.

YES, the Leinster game will be shown before it. We are also expecting some Clermont exiles to join.

Just wanted to announce that we will be changing our main central base in the coming weeks, but until that time remain in Yager for all games ( including Leinster/Edinburgh and Gloucester) except for tonight vs Newport. For tonight only, we are supporting the launch of our new South London Venue:

The Gypsy Hill Tavern (Gipsy Hill, London, SE19 1QH)

Full details on our central base move and expansion plans can be read here:

I read it that the alternative 2nd venue will tonight be the only venue.

exactly yes, for this evening we are out at the lunch of the South London venue, so won't be in the central venue.

Next week we are back in Yager and of course the South London venue will also be operational.

It's not a separate branch though, it's London branch alternative venue, yeah.....

We are of course in Yager (bring your membership card for discounts at the bar) this Saturday night for the Leinster game, and should have a good triple digit crowd as per recent games with them. Our new South London venue in Gypsy Hill will also be showing the game. Two other things that might be ofinterest

1-We currently have a competition on where you can win a £100 bar tab for Yager, Our first competition is "Ask Hendo", whereby we are calling all fans to submit questions for the London Branch Ambassador Rob Henderson to answer. The answers will feature in next weeks newsletter. Hendo will pick his question of the week by this Friday afternoon and the winner will receive a £100 bar tab for Yager bar, to be used anytime in the next three months. Submit your questions via facebook, twitter, or by emailing us.

2- Alone It Stands, the play on Munsters win over the All-Blacks, is coming to London, for one night only, November 28th, in aid of the Irish Hospice Foundation. We are doing a group booking for tickets and interest is high so it should be a good night. For full details please see http://www.mrsc.ie/News_Detail.aspx?...branchid=49959

I see that the Crown is the official north London venue now. That's great from a purely selfish point of view (I live within walking distance) - I watched the Quins QF there this year, it was a bit quiet but hopefully making it a bit of a hub will help.

Is the intention, medium-term, to get north/central/south venues running concurrently or to alternate venues from match to match?

Will be over in London Saturday week staying in Liverpool street area. Anybody recommend a pub that will be showing the Leinster game in the area? Help appreciated please.

**** all open in the city at the weekend. It's a proper CBD - working week ghetto.

Not aware of a gathering point for our Eastern brethren, so most likely wherever the London MRSC are. Or the Sheephaven in Mornington Crescent.

Not aware of a gathering point for our Eastern brethren, actually. I'll have an ask around.
I thought the new venue was going to be a pub round the corner from Bart's, just up from St Paul's? Not far from Liverpool St
