    Racing Away

Hi, was thinking of going to the racing game in January? Will tickets be easy to come by? Also where is good to stay/drink/eat, I know there are plenty of places but was wondering if anyone recommended any? Stadium seems strange as well but thought it might be worth a trip, although we might be out by then

    cheers

There is an old thread from the 2018 game, have a look through that.

3 of us travelling, presumable tickets will be handy.

Thanks for the link. Had a read through it but there's only a few mentions of accommodation. Planning to go from Fri/Mon and would like to get suggestions for a good base. We are 3 females and it's been 10 years since I was in Paris but my recollection of Moulin Rouge/La Pigalle area was that it was fairly rough and not the safest to be around? Any advice greatly received

Hi. What is the best way to get tickets for this game? Going to make a weekend of it with the family, including Disneyland.
If you remove the English army tomorrow and hoist the green flag over Dublin Castle, unless you set about the organization of the Socialist Republic your efforts would be in vain. England would still rule you. She would rule you through her capitalists, through her landlords, through her financiers, through the whole array of commercial and individualist institutions she has planted in this country and watered with the tears of our mothers and the blood of our martyrs.

Booked accommodation not too far from the stadium, paris is easy to navigate around via the metro. Tickets should be ok to find, they will be released on Racings ticket site which is run by ticketmaster so just keep your eyes out for when they go on general sale

I tend to stay in La Defense, which is where the Racing stadium is. It's basically like the IFSC in Dublin / Canary Wharf in London - absolutely dead at weekends, but cheap(er) hotels. The RER into town is 10 minutes, so it's grand and handy. Not much happening there at weekend night time though.

Tickets should't be a problem - Racing usually sell them on the French Ticketmaster website.

Set up an alert for the Munster game.

The "stadium" is basically the 02 arena with a pitch. It is without a shadow of a doubt the oddest place I've ever watched rugby. It's more of an event than a game, and if you like loud rock music and a bit of Son et lumière you are in for a treat!

Any word on when the Racing 92 away game is on? Or when we will know?
I know these matches are often arranged after the opening group matches, but all the other pools have the final games arranged already I think.

Really, I just want to know whether the game is on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday for booking purposes.

I had a bit of back and forth with them about it because the initially listed it for the Friday / Saturday but then changed it to fri / sat / sun.

they said it would be round 4 most likely before they decide.

I’d welcome a PM on this too if anyone knows the date. Thanks
"There are a lot of points that we’ve left behind and this is with a young group. That probably tells you what they’re capable of and that they’re a very good side.

Probably next year or the year after next they will take some stopping"
