HEC SF Saracens v Munster Sat 20 April 3.00 Ricoh Arena - travel etc

I've decent value flights booked with easyjet from Belfast to Birmingham, going out on the Friday at 17.30 for £53. There are a few returns on the Sunday, the last one leaving at 20.35 for £30. Get in before the hike.

Unfortunately it looks like an impossible task to go to this game. Coventry itself is an interesting place - Birmingham might be tempting to stay in if people are finding it tough to get accommodation.

        Checked emails from last time:

        - A cab from Ricoh to Birmingham airport was £35 (booked in advance).

        - there was a left luggage facility at the stadium (given security issues since might be useful to check this).

        - 25 mins on the train from Birmingham to Coventry

        - the stadium is located about 6 miles from Coventry train station - taxis available at the station with a cost back then of 9 pounds.

        - there is a hotel in the stadium (Doubletree by Hilton).

        - it was very organised - lots of space outside the ground for pints/food beforehand.

There is now a new train station (Coventry arena), 5 mins walk from the ground- wasn’t there back in the day. Wasps have good ‘getting there’ info on their web site.

Cheers - I was keeping away from any sites that might reveal the result of the Leinster-Ulster game till I got it watched, so wasn't clicking into EPCR etc.

From Dublin Luton is currently looking like the cheapest way to go. Direct coach from airport to Coventry. Haven't booked yet, will see what day trip options are launched tomorrow

First European game for my lad. Undecided on driving or train but think the train might be more of an adventure for both of us!?!? Unless I can get herself to taxi us!?!?

Coventry Arena Train Station is located on Ricoh Arena's doorstep. There is one two-carriage train per hour on matchdays going in either direction.

Hmm? Not sure if that’ll be enough carriages the Red Army.
