Tigers out to conquer Thomand Park

    <DIV =storydate>Tuesday January 16 2007
Record and pool at stake

Thomand Park is a fortress, no team has ever won a Heineken Cup game there in twenty-six attempts. Munster and their Red Army reign supreme on European days, but they are going to be hunted in a big way this weekend. A fired up Leicester Tigers are in town and gunning for revenge after a narrow opening round defeat, and top spot in the group. Prepare for one of the great rugby battles, and don't expect any prisoners to be taken, this will be all out war

Everyone wants to hype this game.

But remember we have a team as least as good as Leicester. Plus we're at home - in Thomond F-ing Park MAN!! - PLUS we have an outhalf - and a rather good one at that - Leicester does not. Sale in 2006 reallywere a good team with a really good out half and had actually beaten us in Manchester before they cam to Limerick.
    Munster – Champions of Europe 2006, 2008, 2019.

This is NOT a given. How many times have the crowd expected a win and the atmosphere reflected that. The team go on about the atmosphere vs. Sale and rightly so, well the reverse works to..Harlequins, Dragons to name two close calls in recent years.

Sure Sale had a better team on paper than Leicester but Sale were inexperienced in Europe. This is Leicester two time champions and there is a tradition of winning in that club. Leicester won't freeze in the headlights!

THIS IS NOT A GIVEN and we'd better be up for it.

          Spot on Zeno!
How come when Peter Parker was bitten by a radioactive spider he gained superpowers yet when Alexander Litvinyenko ate some sushi laced with polonium he lost his hair and died? Once again it\'s one rule for comic book superheroes and another for KGB turncoats.
