          This appointment is interesting.

My informant tells me that the new man suggested, a number of years ago, a complete revamp of the under-age structures in Cork but his plans were rubbished by Prionsias Uasal and his cronies.

In recent years, these reforms have been slowly implemented on the orders of Croke Park.

The recruitment of Prionsias's successor was run by Croke Park.

Will Croke Park effectively be running the Cork County Board or will the Old Regime do a "Sir Humphrey"on the new "Minister"?

Now we see why World Rugby laughed at PUiC as a venue.. Pitch needs complete replacing.

            Some legacy from Frank Murphy

The dressing rooms don’t have running water.

I kid you not, there isn’t a tap in the changing rooms to fill water bottles.

And the legendary story of what happened with the County Board / Aiken promotions and Ed Sherans mgt before last years gigs shows how Neanderthal the county board is.

The stories will start to come out now that Frank is gone.

It cost 39million to develop Thomand park into a 26.5k stadium with 15.5k seats a

For 110 million PUC only has 21k seated in a 45k capacity ground that will only fill for games once annually.

Yes Larry on the part of the Cork county board, seriously it’s a fine stadium from what I see, but the cost, it’s out of all proportion to the capacity and will if ever unless there is a serious business model put in place recoup the cost.
The problem for amateur sport is amatures run the boards, it needs a professional management team now to run it and ensure it not only covers costs but become a revenue earner for CCB.
The head in the sand mindset to other sports has to be put aside, utilise the facility to the Max.

The man appointed by Frank Murphy to take over his day to day work while he concentrated on building the stadium is not taking kindly to his job becoming unnecessary.

There has been a fast and necessary clearout of Franks Captains in the last few weeks but this lad ain’t going without a fight.
