Tough call now. Do you attack and try and get another 60 out of KOB and the tail or do you dig in and try play through to lunch tomorrow?

If they last 'till Lunch, they will have scored 60 or so anyway.

There's 19 overs left today and another 30 or so in the first session tomorrow.

Although with the run rate for this partnership so far, (0.7 per over) maye not.

I get the feeling Kane is not having fun, surely we just bore them to submission

Kane was out second ball yesterday without troubling the Scorer.

He's faced 17 balls today so far for one run.

Kane scores a four to bring up the 100 lead. 280 for 7.

According to Sky Sports commentary KOB has hit the ton, which is pretty amazing, EDIT: though now thinking I dont understand the commentary and because it hit is pad for four runs that it goes to Extras instead of KOB

Faheem Ashraf to KJ O'Brien, 4 leg byes, is this the hundred... It's flicked down the leg side, it's rolled to the rope ... but it's come off the pad! A huge cheer turns to a groan as the umpire flexes his knee. Boo

                  Boo indeed.

14 more today, according to Cricinfo.

O'Brien looked to have got his hundred, there now with a four, but the ball came off his pad.

Thanks to you both for the explanation

there it is! Kevin O'Brien is Ireland's maiden Test centurion! Reaches it with a squirt through point ... not the most dignified stroke, but he finds the gap and who cares how, it's how many!

                              Heroic. Absolutely fuppin heroic.

Kane could be the Quinnie of Irish Cricket here - lying all over the opposition ball, making an absolute ****e of their attack

If the Batsmen are "offered the light", Usain Bolt's 100m record will be in danger.
