64 without loss at the close, 116 behind.

Ireland lost two wickets very quickly this morning but have recovered to reach 123 for 4 at Lunch.

They need another 57 runs to make Pakistan bat again.

More importantly they need to hold these 6 wickets for as long as feasible to try and force a draw.

(Of course that is simply not going to happen against the might of this Pakistani post lunch attack.)

          Haha, well played AfH.

A draw is a big ask from here but even getting Pakistan out to bat again would be an achievement. It took New Zealand 26 years to win a test match so you have to take the little victories.

Big Kev gets Ireland's first ever test 50. Great moment.

Pakistan will have to bat again, current target is 12, which is....achievable.

Draw is a massive ask, but if they hold the wickets until mid-morning tomorrow and get some rain then who knows! The first day being rained-out might play to our advantage. Anyway they've done the country proud so far by forcing the 2nd innings.

Ten from an over to rocket past 200. Are you watching Wasim Akram?

2 half-century partnerships in this innings, well done lads. Lets hope that O'Brien/Thompson can get one over on Joyce/Porterfield's 69

At most 3 days of play, saw pictures yesterday and crowd didn't look that much at all? Thought Sunday would have been a day to get a decent crowd out, hopefully losses aren't too much.

250 for 6. K O'Brien 75 no, Thompson 46 no. As was pointed out on Cricinfo, Kevin O'Brien having scored 40 in the first Innings has a Test match Average at the moment of 115, the highest in the world.

Stuart Thompson brings up his 50 and the 100 partnership. What a stand, just brilliant.

Highest 2nd innings total in a debut test match I heard.

O'Brien survives a torrid over from Abbas but Thompson goes to the second ball of the next over for 53.

271 for 7, 91 ahead, 21 overs to go 'till Stumps.
