Cracking 3-3 draw with Limerick last Saturday.

Very entertaining game. Fair result overall.

Monaghan drew up at Finn Harps on Saturday night, which was a great result for City as it keeps them one point ahead of them.

Mons do have a game in hand, but they still have to come to the Cross, which will be a huge game for both sides.

Seven games left to win promotion.

Next home game is Friday week, September 16, 19.45, St. Patrick's Athletic, Quarter Final of the FAI Cup.

City up in Athlone tomorrow night for another must win game in the League.

Talk is that Harps fielded and ineligible player last Friday night against Monaghan so Mons will get the three points.

That puts them one ahead of City and they also have a game in hand.

City won 7-0 up in Athlone on Saturday night.

Top four all won so as you were in the table.

Still no decision regarding Harps game for Monaghan. (Mons awarded a 3-0 win)

Cup quarter final next Friday, Sept 16, 19.35, Turner's Cross against St. Pats.

                  City beaten 1-0 by Pats.

Rested several players, which was a shame, as we could have had a good cut off of them.

Playing Waterford tomorrow night in a must win game in the League, down in the RSC.

League Cup Final on Saturday against Derry in Turner's Cross.

Great win down in Waterford last Tuesday night, 3-1.

City now in second, two points ahead of Monaghan, who have two games in hand.

Five behind Shels, who have a game in hand.

Three points ahead of Limerick. Both have five games to go.

Top two promoted automatically. Third in a two legged play off with Galway United.

                    League Cup Final on Saturday.

And Derry win 1 - 0 - bad luck Cork, clearly Roy Keane's presence at the game didn't inspire the Cork lads.

Looked like quite a decent crowd at the game - I had trouble emerging from Aldi in Ballyphehane due to the bad parking.

Played quite well, kept with them for an hour or so.

Derry just had more on the night. You could see the step up that City need to make.

Good game, however. It was great to get to the final in our second season as a fans owned Club.

Back to business next Friday against Harps in the League, Turner's Cross, 19.45. Another must win game.

City won 5-2 last Friday, but were poor enough. That display will not be good enough against Monaghan tomorrow night.

Mons beat Shels 2-1 to go 4 behind them with a game in hand.

Limerick stayed level with City, who have a game in hand, with a 1-0 win against Mervue.

City have 4 games left to seal promotion or a play-off place.

Monaghan at the Cross, tonight, 7.45.

Come on down if you're at a loose end. It will be a cracking game.

                              Must win for City.
