5 this morning, don't know if the conditions will suit, the going is very heavy over there.

Think Workforce went as far out as 18s the other day when it was rumoured it wasnt gonna travel over. There has been some fairly heavy prolonged downfalls the last week. Although today has been mostly dry today. Thinking of CapeBlanco or Dettori e/w

Edit Forgot about Sarafina also, showed good form winning on a wet Chantilly track

I fancy Behkabad to win the Arc today @ 9/2. The way he won the Grand Prix de Paris over course and distance was pure class and taking a formline through Jan Vermeer was a better performance than Workforce put up in the Derby. Difference being it wasn't a one-off for Behkabad as he then won the Prix Niel without ever really being pushed to his limit.

The only concern is the ground which may be gone softer than he wants it. With the ground in mind Plumania is an interesting each way alternative @ 20/1

Munster National Day at Limerick Racecourse today and I fancy Wins Now to go well after his second placing behind Alfa Beat at Galway before that horse went on to win the Kerry National.

                    I'll chance him each way @ 14/1.

Also today there is the big race in the Czech Republic, The Velka Pardubicka. This is a great race to watch if anybody is interested. It is a stamina sapping race over a crazy course of fences, banks and ditches. The winners of the last 3 years again do battle(Tiumen 2009, Sixteen 2007-0 but new boy on the block Valldemoso could give them something to think about today. I'll have a small interest bet on him @ 10/1.

Three EW bets on the one race? I know they are decent prices but surely this is counterproductive over time?

I'm going for Precedence EW @ 20/1 in the Melbourne Cup.

I see Channel 7 have employed the services of Francesca Cumani, daughter of trainer Luca Cumani who has Manighar in the race.

                            Nice.
