Sky by Broadband - a warning

If anyone else has downloaded the Sky by Broadband software(as I had - up to a few minutes ago!) then they may find this thread interesting:

New infraction avoidance policy: a post may be described as imbecilic, but its author should never be described as an imbecile.

wot do u expect from sky?

im just surprised the system didnt boot up with god save the queen and stuart barnes in the background telling us how incredible english rugby is

If the lessons of history teach us anything it is that nobody learns the lessons that history teaches us.

It looks like they're providing the downloads via Kontiki, which is kind of like BitTorrent. However, unlike BitTorrent you can't control the uploads, and it seems they make it difficult for you to uninstall the uploader service.

I don't see any problem with Sky offering a peer-to-peer service on a commercial basis, as long as they make it clear that's what you're getting into. I suspect most users wouldn't even know that stuff was being uploaded over their connection.

Thanks for that Old Dog - just cleaned it out of my system
Computer games don't affect kids, I mean if Pac Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching pills and listening to repetitive music.
