The CBO scored a Full Repeal as something that would deny 58 million people health insurance.
Not all Republican senators are beholden to the Trump mob, and especially the ones from traditionally conservative states not part of the racist, Tea Party Republicans outside of New England. Collins is Maine, an old Republican state but not the cracker type - it went for Clinton in 16. Capito is from West Virginia, which voted Trump but which has disproportionately a huge number of those who benefit from Obamacare. They plainly do not believe Trump will last and has no coattails to bring in candidates.

Even for Trump, his speech to the boy scouts was batsh*t crazy.

The numerous references to (Applause) and "USA! USA!" chants are fairly indicative though. There's still a huge section of American voters that will stay behind him provided he keeps up the attacks on the liberals, the Washington elites and the Muslims. When so many people are intent on voting against the best interests of the society they are part of, it's hard to see that society as anything but in fairly rapid decline.

An audience full of kids. They would have cheered a small handed Neanderthal. Wait a minute ...

One the other small hand, Trump is now trying to figure out how to fire AG Sessions, not appoint his deputy Rod Rosenstein, and also get rid of Mueller as the Russian investigator.

Obviously while shielding his son and son in law from a perp walk.

Watergate was a school playground squabble compared to this.

When - and I think it's a when now - a GOP senator or two break ranks and go after Trump he is goosed IMHO.

Girl Scouts Obtain Restraining Order Against Trump
                By Andy Borowitz

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—In an extraordinary rebuke of the President of the United States, the Girl Scouts of America have obtained a restraining order against Donald J. Trump.
The order, which the Girls Scouts were granted on Monday night, prevents Trump from coming within three hundred feet of any gathering of the Scouts’ organization.
Carol Foyler, a Girl Scouts spokesperson, said that while the G.S.A. sought the restraining order “out of an abundance of caution,” the girls themselves were “in no way, shape or form” afraid of President Trump.
“They’re prepared to deal with bobcats and bears,” she said. “They can handle a malignant narcissist.”
Trump wasted little time responding to the Girl Scouts’ action, lashing out at the organization in a blistering early-morning tweet storm.
“Failing Girl Scouts bad (or sick) guys,” Trump wrote. “Mints, cookies terrible. Sad!”

He's obviously trying to get Sessions to step down so he can use the excuse of not having sacked him when it comes to appointing his replacement and getting rid of Mueller. As with most of his plans I'm not sure he's thought it through.

If there's one positive to come from this flaming bag of dog **** of a Presidency, Trump is doing his best to ruin the public careers of some seriously nasty people. Christie, Flynn and Sessions are toast already you'd have to think, with that slumlord Kushner and his harpy wife next up.

He's always been well able to mix it up in terms of flattening the Middle East, keeping those darn Mexicans out and letting the market decide who should get medicine. He's just lucky he's not short on cash and subject to the various forms of GOP healthcare plan he has gotten behind in the past, his outlook would be far bleaker.
Maverick McCain, who was recently diagnosed with aggressive terminal brain cancer, rushed back to the floor of the senate today to vote to open the debate on taking health insurance of 20 - 30 million people. Hopefully the spineless old **** dies soon.

The House has voted for further sanctions on Russia.

To veto or not to veto, that is the question: whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take Arms against a Sea of troubles,
                          And by opposing end them:

For opponents of the Trump administration who pin their hopes on impeachment or resignation, Iran-Contra should be a sobering precedent. Stonewalling, destruction of evidence, conveniently muddied memories — all worked to shield the Reagan administration from the consequences of its bad acts.

While I am surprised at how well his support is holding up, there is an slight downward trend if you look at Gallup. Currently 36% and if it continues he'll soon be down at 30% which might change the calculus of a lot of congressmen. http://www.gallup.com/poll/201617/ga...-approval.aspx

Of course if he fires Session he will lose a lot of the white, racist, alt right types. We can only hope

One school of thought is that President ****face Von Clownstick is turning up the heat on poor little Beauregard so that he falls on his tiny little Confederate sword. Waiting in the wings is noted humanitarian Rudi Giuliani, although Giuliani has backed Session's decision to recuse himself from 'the Russia thing'.
