FG minister josepha strikes again. This time its NIMBY josepha blocking a treatment clinic. Not compo josepha this time....

CULTURE MINISTER Josepha Madigan claims she did not approve a letter issued to her constituents, which confirmed a methadone clinic would not open in her constituency, after she lobbied the Department of Health.

The newsletter style document was issued to residents recently and provided an update on the proposals for a methadone clinic at Ballinteer Health Centre.

It stated: “I am pleased to reassure local residents that following representations from my office to the Department of Health, I have been informed that a new methadone clinic will not be developed

        500k blocked in 24 days!!!!!:

Leo Varadkar’s departmental staff attempted to access “inappropriate” sites including porn, gambling, and other adult material but were blocked.

Despite staff in the Department of An Taoiseach being warned that work computers are provided for “business purposes” and that access to inappropriate websites will be blocked, the total number of requests which were blocked between July 6 and July 30 was 503,582.

The attempts to access banned websites were recorded by the department’s strict firewall, documents released to the Irish Examiner reveal.
"There are a lot of points that we’ve left behind and this is with a young group. That probably tells you what they’re capable of and that they’re a very good side.

Probably next year or the year after next they will take some stopping"

There are a lot of things you can bash FG for. Civil servants in the Dept of the Taoiseach doing what employees in every office in the world do isn't one of them however.

With 500k requests in a month, sounds more like a bot or hack got in someones computer. Also does it include staff piggybacking on internal WiFi with their personal mobiles?

              Agree plus .....

You mistype Irishtimes.com with irishtimrs.com them you will be blocked with modern software. Some systems are very sensitive or indeed may have a small positive list.

Hmmm. You seem suspiciously knowledgeable about these things

Are you really suggesting that staff in the department of an taoiseach attempted to access inappropriate adult sites over half a million times in less than a month, from their personal mobile phones while using the wifi in the department of an taoiseach?

Have they nothing better to do? And isnt use of the departments wifi via personal devices a massive security breach?

Another blow for Cork as the dunkettle project gets put back for at least a year.

FG are really showing themselves up as completely unnable to deliver on crucial large scale projects.

Nope, only a matter of time before the announcement was made. We could do with a Healy Rae in Cork, because having party loyal TD’s at the top table isn’t worth a w@nk.

But make sure you keep supporting those local fine gael and fianna fail geniuses and their never ending promises, pledges and plans eh!
Transport 21, Ireland project 2040 etc etc. What's next, Ireland 2100?

Dont forget the motorway between limerick and cork when you're stuck in traffic heading up and down to games in Musgrave Park & Thomond..
And whatever happened to the deepwater port plan for foynes? It would have come in handy with brexit..

Mehole Martin won’t be long trying to use this as a stick to beat FG with whenever he seeks to distance himself from the coalition he has been instrumental in.
