    Things To Do In Lisbon

Going away for a few days to Lisbon, Portugal in early September.

Any recommendations on things to see or do, restaurants/bars to visit etc etc?

You can take a train to Sintra from Rossio station. Outside Rossio station is a beautiful square where the national gallery is. You should see this. Rua Augusta Arch leads to another vast square which is very attractive and from here you can get on an auld tram up to the são jorge area. We ate around here and we found it really good and very pretty.
The Aquarium is superb and the area around it is interesting too. You would use Orienté station for this area. Belem area is worth seeing too. We bought the hop on hop off bus ticket that took us to most of these places in Lisbon. Its a fantastic city. The flight in is amazing as you see the bridge and the christ statue as you fly over the harbour into the heart of the city itself.
So I walked as day was dawning
Where small birds sang and leaves were falling
Where we once watched the row boats landing
          By the broad majestic shannon
