    Traveller Horses seized in Cork

    http://www.rte.ie/news/2013/1119/487613-horses-cork/

More than 80 horses have been seized and impounded in Cork in an operation involving officials of the Department of Agriculture, Cork City Council and gardaĆ.

The operation, in the Hollyhill area of the city, follows ongoing concerns over animal welfare and problems with stray horses on public property and roads.
The carcasses of four horses, which were dumped in the area, have also been located.
And there's no way this could end badly....................

Drove THROUGH this on the way in to work this morning. Some show of intent by the GardaĆ and Dept. of Agriculture. ARU were on the scene and everything in case it kicked off.
Seeing what these horses go through everyday I am delighted with this action, even if the cynic in me would say it's Coveney getting his approval up.

"You clearly don't know who you're talking to, so let me clue you in.
I am not in danger, Skyler. I am the danger.
A guy opens his door and gets shot, and you think that of me?
No! I am the one who knocks!"
