    Indo at it again?

    Have a look at this from todays Indo in which Yvonne Keating says " I don’t think I have a healthy lifestyle at the moment. I go through phases, it’s a bit all or nothing" and "I have gone through phases where I'll exercise every single day, seven days a week, to doing nothing, where literally I don't exercise for months and months. I'm either in that frame of mind or I'm not."

    Then read this from yesterday's Times where the lady says "
    I don’t think I have a healthy lifestyle at the moment. I go through phases, it’s a bit all or nothing" and " I have gone through phases where I’ll exercise every single day, seven days a week, to doing nothing, where literally I don’t exercise for months and months. I’m either in that frame of mind or I’m not"

    Just two examples of many.

    Plaigiarism ? I think so. What do you think?

    I think you shouldn't be reading about Yvonne Keating.

        My point is "Did both papers interview her.... or did one paper interview her and the other rob the article, dress it up and pass it off as original work?"

          Not plagiarism. It's not made clear, but it is a report on a report. "The glamorous mum-of-three has admitted" i.e. admitted in the IT article.

                    If it's a "report on a report" and that fact is not made clear, then it's Plagiarism.

                      You're not supposed to read bits of it before you use it to wipe your arse.

                      Its the indo, I'm surprised it didnt say;

                      "I don’t think I have a healthy lifestyle at the moment. I go through phases, it’s a bit all or nothing" and "I have gone through phases where I'll exercise every single day, seven days a week, to doing nothing, where literally I don't exercise for months and months. I'm either in that frame of mind or I'm not. And the government is just amazing"

                          Wiki offers an opinion on it; it is not fact.

                          It's poor journalism, but I don't think a report on a report is "proper" plagiarism.

                              Passing someone else's work as your own is plagiarism. Fact.

                              Summarising someone else's work and not acknowledging that that's what you have done is Plagiarism. Fact.

                              If Wiki isn't an acceptable source, then what about:

                              Use someone else's work, if you want, in academic circles it's encouraged. If, however, you say that the material is your own work or don't mention from whence you got it, then it's plagiarism.
