Man in Cork arrested for trying to hire hitman

    http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/...reaking52.html

"A former public representative was tonight being questioned by gardaí in Cork after he allegedly tried to hire a hitman to murder three people involved in an investigation into his financial affairs.
he was questioned about an alleged plot to murder a garda, a Revenue official and an accountant who had all been involved in a criminal investigation into the man’s business affairs."

Former public representative, who could that be?

I only hope Point gets to explain his McGahanball is sorta Penneyball theory before they lock him up.
It is useless to attempt to reason a man out of a thing he was never reasoned into.

Every plan I have is the best plan in the room. Everybody get quiet and listen to it, and everybody will win

If he or indeed anyone wants to start shooting revenue officials he should contact the clique, I am sure a whip around can be organised

Can't recall the name but I think he worked in a bank was involved in a major international robbery and was possible a friend of one of our great leaders.
Edit: Sorry wrong guy. It's not an ex TD and councillor is it.

Yet another reason to cut their pensions.

I haven't a pig's notion who the politician involved is but I've no doubt that there'll be plenty of people farming certain conspiracy theories.

                        conspiracy theories?

"The man was brought to Gurranebraher Garda station where he was questioned about an alleged plot to murder a garda, a Revenue official and an accountant who had all been involved in a criminal investigation into the man’s business affairs.

It is understood the conspiracy came to light about three months ago when the businessman approached an individual in Cork city inquiring about hiring a hitman to murder the three people.

The individual who was approached is understood to have alerted gardaí and an operation was put in place which resulted in the businessman meeting an undercover officer posing as a hitman and handing over a sizeable quantity of cash to have the people killed."
