Some good strides being made worldwide on testing who has had the virus (as opposed to who has it now).

Yes there is some indication of reinfection, but it could really change the figures around mortality rates, and also give us an idea if how many people were asymptomatic.

Some positive news: Japanese Flu drug Favipiravir works well against Covid-19 according to China. Tradename is Avigan. It's only recently out of clinical trials but was already approved by China

Thanks,le. Did a quick Google and it would appear microwave is not a great idea, unless you have money to burn!!

Well, we're working our way through various phases of hysterics. We've gone from "It's not harmful for most people", to "We're fucqed, it's lock down until everybody is infected". Next?

UV light should not be used as it irritates the skin. Probably OK for cash.

74 new cases announced, there now. A total now of 366.

It's too early to tell for definite but if Leo's 1.3 per day figures were followed, and they have been since Sunday, there would have been 90 new cases today. On that individual piece of data, the rate of increase would appear to be decreasing.

But, of course, it's usually dangerous to extrapolate from a very small data set.

                      It's 366 in total today, not 371.

Leo said the daily increase would be 1.3 times the previous day's increase , not that the daily total would increase by 1.3.

EDIT Yesterday's increase was 69, up from 54 the previous day. 1.3 times 54 is 70.

                      Today's increase is 74. 1.3 times 69 is 90.

                        I’d imagine that either
1: data set is too small
                        2: it’s a blip
C: infection is slowing - very unlikely imo

                          Correct, my typo. Thanks

The data is limited mainly by a lack of testing at this point

A few articles came up after I Googled that made no mention of problems with them. Notes getting singed or even burnt was mentioned all right.
