the joy of the irish system is you get to vote for the one that you believe is least flawed, and give your lowest (highest) vote to the one you think is most flawed.

I listened to an interview with him recently and he came across as a decent enough chap, so this is a shame.

Do you actually believe that FG are going into this election on a "hard right" platform?
Yes, I accept that they are socially liberal. But I think they are quite tory in their economics.

No they aren’t. They’ve prioritised growth in spending over tax cuts, isn’t the ratio 2:1 or similar? They are a tax and spend party same as the rest of them.

interesting fact re the Shinners, recent survey of all voters saw that 70% of Shinners not want any asylum seekers from North Africa to be allowed into Ireland, for a party that says its puralist and true left wing, seems their supporters aren’t so, just your more basic populist knuckle dragger type it seems, but sure we all know that anyway

I see a FF led rainbow coalition (hopefully with the minority parties holding them over a barrel). FG have not performed in health and housing (although Donoghue and Coveney have been top class Ministers) - plus this type of crap is just infantile - https://twitter.com/finegael/status/...681318914?s=21

Is that really from FG? Very amateur looking.

What did it say? Tweet taken down
"There are a lot of points that we’ve left behind and this is with a young group. That probably tells you what they’re capable of and that they’re a very good side.

Probably next year or the year after next they will take some stopping"

Anthony Foley, May 2016. Axel RIP

It’s a video of guys in FF masks running around Dublin looking for policies. Badly produced and in bad taste, it’s like something you’d see in an American attack ad.
