Newly wed is shagged out!

Just on the 9.00 news - Michael Flatley has been admitted to hospital suffering from exhaustion!

The new Mrs Flatley is indeed a lucky woman.

There's a definition of "lucky" that I wasn't aware of.

Not so - I was simply revelling in the ambiguous freedom that the wonderful language of Shakespeare and Churchill permits.

Apologies OD. Your subtle command of the intricies of the Queens english misled me. A Trajedy of errors perhaps?

                    Much Ado about Nothing, Dermot?

Flatley in hospital, tour dates cancelled<?:namespace prefix = rte ns = "urn:rte-search" /><rte:>

Dance star Michael Flatley is reported to be seriously ill in a London hospital tonight.

The details of his condition are not known but it is believed he was admitted to a private hospital some days ago after being taken ill while rehearsing for his forthcoming Celtic Tiger European tour.

All dates for that tour, including two in Dublin for early December, have now been cancelled.

A spokeswoman tonight said the star was unavailable for comment and appealed for the media and his fans to respect his privacy.

If he's in a private hospital, then its unlikely to be life-threatening, anyway.

When people are seriously ill, they normally transfer to a "real" i.e. public hospital.
