Hotel itself is ok. New and well equipped. Bar is called "23-19".

It's also very convenient to Cork and Dublin bypasses.

It's surroundings are not good however. It's a good walk into town, and Southill is beside it.

I would stay there, but would get a taxi to and from the city centre.

p.s. I heard it called the "Southilton"

I had lunch there before Christmas and it was jammers. It is Brand new and good accomodation deals available.I wouldn't reccomend the Steering Wheel pub accross the road, head for town or drink in the hotel bar which is nice. The surrounding area can be a bit dodgy so keep your wits about you and you will be ok.
I distrust Camels and anybody else that go for 7 days without a drink

There's a large Garda station almost across the road. To be clear the station is large not the Gardai, although come to think of it I wouldn't be too worried about being chased by a few of them.
The early bird catches the worm but it's the second mouse that gets the cheese.

                          Not a nice spot.

The Steering Wheel isn't hectic either.

A taxi in and taxi out stay is definately the way to go. Make sure it's a fast cab too.
