    New to the game

    Hi folks in Internet land,

I am hoping someone out there may help me, after years of playing other sports I now have come to my senses and at the ripe old age of 30 would love to start playing rugby.

I am living in Cork and if any one has any info they can give me on joining a club I would greatly appreciate it. I won't be expecting a munster contract in my first year.

    Many thanks,

    Buckled

Several clubs have over 35s teams.

Why not try and get a team together where you work for the summer tag rugby league. It is a great event in Cork, good social scene. Get a taste for the game. There is a lot to be learned to play rugby safely.

I live in Douglas area of Cork andI know Cork Con are only over the road but i am looking for some junior club and strangely enough they are hard to find.

Saying thatI haven't over exerted myself by looking to hard. It will have to be my new years resolution!

I'm not a member, but why not try Ballincollig Rugby Club. They seem to have a fair few in and around 30 playing, but are always on the lookout. It's only 15 mins from Douglas.

Why not join Douglas RFC if you're in Douglas. Training is on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7pm. Teams in J1 Division 2 and Sth Munster J2. The grounds is up in Moneygourney.

Yeah Douglas would be the better one to join.
