Given our national playing resources, what do we genuinely believe our next coach should deliever in terms of results?

If Schmidt's goes at the end of next season they will have two 6 nations and a RWC. What will the benchmark for success be?

I don't believe exciting rugby counts as a real goal for an incoming manager of any team.

Very little seems to be expected from provincial head coaches before offering extensions ....

The next coaches benchmark for success should be a metric determined by games played to number of Kearney's selected.

People had no problem looking for Kidneys head in a very short space of time. Surely a Slam needs to be the bare minimum required.

I think a Slam, a 3-0 series win in NZ against New Zealand AND and an apology from the Queen should be the minimum standard expected.

Schmidt is an excellent coach but he looks like a man who goes into so much detail that he can't see the wood from the trees anymore. He looks like he is bogged down with statistics and ignores things like form.

Another major problem with Schmidts style of play is the injury rate. It was mentioned during the world cup and we've seen more evidence again that his style of play is breaking players. You'll always get injuries but its no coincidence that Ireland and Wales had the most injuries in the world cup while NZ probably had the fewest.

Is it just me or does Joe look like he's aged a lot since last summer. Thought he looked almost frail on tv after the match yesterday

Due to injuries and out of form players Joe thankfully must make changes ,the competition is now over as a contest for us and I for one dont mind taking the beatings if we are trying new players instead of wheeling out the same old names to fill the gaps (Mc Fadden ,Mc Carthy ,Earls ,Zebo ,Sexton ,Ruddock ,Madigan ,Kearney ,Reddan,Healy ) bring in the new players for the future (Dillane ,Jackson ,Mc Closkey ,Ringrose ,Gilroy ,) and along with some decent players we already have on board ,Trimble ,Payne ,Henshaw ,Murray ,O Brien ,Heaslip ,Toner ,Stander ,Mc Grath ,Best ,Furlong ,White ,Cronin ,Ryan and Strauss ,we might have something for the next world cup

Did it take you long to think of that little plan.

We wont see a huge amount of changes. When have we ever really seen that in 6Nations?
Jackson is as much in what the "same old names" as plenty of the others. Sexton/Kearney/Healy filling the gaps? Theyre much more than that
You don't mind losing but IRFU do and we wont ever see complete wholesale change like that what you want.
