It looks a balanced squad. I make it

    7 Munster
    8 Ulster
    *10 Leinster
    1 Connacht

*There are a few Roscrea players from Munster

That's why I marked Murphy who's from Bantry. Forgot about Tim Foley also from Cork.

Hopefully all fixtures are confirmed soon enough and put on irishrugby.ie......

Only three Roscrea players? Clear anti-Munster bias

Caelan Doris grew up in Co Mayo, even though his secondary school was Blackrock. He's still only 16.

The coach is a Munsterman from Clare I think (who also coaches Clongowes & Leinster Schools).

Why is Castletroys Mark O'Mara not in the squad? One of Munsters best players in the interpros and playing senior cup for the last 2 years.

Who knows. Who would you have him ahead of so he could be in the squad?

Any of the Ulster hookers particularly the Ulster sub hooker, who happens to be son of Alan Clarke Ulster forwards coach....

Good article on munster lads featuring for Roscrea. Munster should be in contact with these guys. Alan Tynan out half, is with the Tipp minor footballers and hurlers this year.

This side has great potential. All props, starting and subs, fairly strong scrummagers. Kenny spent a lot of time working with S Harty last summer...

Don't know so much about the 9 but O Brien is a fabulous outhalf. The guy listed with the Australian club is on a gap year over there and is a Methody student afaik.
