If Bastareaud and Burgess why not Croniin?

With the dearth of strong running Irish centres (Henshaw excepted) surely Joe (and Leinster or Munster) should be giving the boy Sean a run in the centre. He is a devastating runner and extremely quick - he also knows how to throw a ball (pass) as that is his current day job.

If England can facilitate Burgess from another sport - Ireland can move Seaney to where he would do serious damage.

Why not go with the two Seanies in the centre altogether and leave young Robbie at 15,
SeanieO&SeanieCro, with Zeebs and The Earl outside?
      Gwan Joe!!

Certainly if SeanieC is a success then give SeanieO a lash with him. SeanieC timing running on to the ball is excellent whereas SeanieO does not even need a head of steam so we need him a bit more at the coalface.

I seem to remember him dropping the ball against France in the last move of the game that would have given us the championship a few years back - but he can make serious inroads and these days and generally holds on to it.

The speed of SeanieC to get Leinster's 4th. What a boy.

              Quote from Skysports

"A hooker running like an inside centre".

              Bring SeanieC home(at centre).

Throwing was better tonight. If he gets that consistent he'd oust best
So I walked as day was dawning
Where small birds sang and leaves were falling
Where we once watched the row boats landing
                By the broad majestic shannon

Are all these posts about putting forwards in the back line actually serious or just tongue in cheek . . . . .

                  I mean, they can't actually be serious are they . . . .

Deadly, but clearly not going to happen but interesting to know how he would get on and what he would struggle with. If Bastareaud who is similar in size(heavier) to Cronin can do it and Burgess who has come from rugby league can learn his new trade at inside centre then so can SeanieC. The idea that Cronin cant pass the ball is a complete nonsense.

Could he ever be tempted back to Munster?

It's about speed of pass, mobility on your feet for defence , endurance or ability to repeatedly run at pace, step and change of direction at speed etc etc etc

Two athletes being of similar size says nothing about their individual abilities

Basteraud is wayyyy bigger than Cronin

Bigger and doesn't do change of direction. I think SeanieC is quicker - is there a European Rugby freedom of information act so I can request both sets of stats.
