Pick the two best players in each position and put one on each team.

They could also do a Dublin vs the rest of Leinster split.

Maybe add in the youth teams of Munster, Leinster and Ulster too to make it an 8 team league. Connacht have combined their youth and schools sides.

That would leave 3 Leinster teams (2 schools, 1 youths) , 2 Munster, 2 Ulster and 1 Connacht. There might be some mismatches but overall it would be good for development
There is no desire for the interpro competitions at 18s to be combined and when would you play the extra interpro games?
Especially as it would affect the club and school league competitions even more.
Connacht have always had the same side(or virtually same) competing in youths and schools interpros. They are only competing in the youths interpros as the youths interpros are now being played earlier in the year to allow club competitions start earlier etc.
Splitting by talent. Isnt that easy and schools/Leinster wouldn't ever agree to that.

It does matter how you would divide them. If it were to happen how would you do it?

More matches means it allows coaches to experiment and allows the players regular matches of that quality.

You'd have to imagine it would be a north/south divide

If not win the group there's a chance of making it through as second seeds.

Having seen one or two other games I thought the standard wasn't great this year overall. As well as that there wasn't even cameras at some of the games to show highlights.

Bloody Samoans!! Last gasp converted penalty try for Italy (second of the game) plus a missed penalty kick at the very death for Samoa means they are relegated from Championship to the Trophy next season. And added about 4 extra hours work to my weekend as a result. Feckers!!

A good final, NZ no. 8, Iaone, was dominant, they more than held the powerful English front five, had he not been unfairly in receipt of a yellow card, think they would have won by more, their captain and tighthead is some player.
