    IRFU won't rush him back

Suffering from headaches and nausea from the Ireland match - Australia November 22 , Irish fly-half Jonathan Sexton (29) has no right to play again until February 14 . The day of the test won by the Irish ( 26-23 ) , he received two shocks to the head, a warm-up, the other during the meeting. Sexton could resume training at Racing Metro after two days off work prescribed by the doctor of his national team.

Since then, he has consulted a neurologist in Paris several times. And yesterday morning , the medical committee dealing commission , chaired by Dr. Jean-Fran├žois Cherman , ordered a ban on playing until February 14 . The Irishman will miss the start of the RBS Six Nations . However , it can continue to train with his teammates , but without contact.

Nice break mid season before a RWC could work out ok.

That he is still suffering nearly 4 weeks after the injury isn't good news at all.

I am amazed that more players don't suffer for longer after concussions. Part of me is almost pleased to see the likes of Marshall, Parling and now Sexton being stood down until they are right even if it is not great for their respective teams. Fingers crossed he is OK.

The French union/medics are probably under massive pressure due to Noves/Fritz fiasco.

If he were to miss the next six weeks and be back for Italy or maybe France it could work to his and Ireland's advantage but fingers crossed he just gets better before thinking about timelines.

The problem is though that he will end up being out for nearly 10 weeks due to concussion. That can't be good in the long term.

Blessing for Leinster's season perhaps? Pressure from above to start Madigan ahead of Gopperth?

Echoes of the problems that forced John Fogarty into retirement. Hopefully the rest will do the trick for Sexton. At least being able to train means that he can keep his fitness up.

If it doesn't you can write off the World Cup. That doesn't sound good at all and echoes Fogarty
I always knew Madigan was a closet Scrum Half. Ignore All things that suggest Continuity.
