    Guscott's teams of the AIs

    http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/rugby-union/30269070

    A few discussion points here:

    • Kearney is a "great attacking player"... News to me!
    • No POC
    • Brad "The Boshman" Barritt
    • Ross Ford (seemed an odd call initially but, tbf to Jerry, it hasn't been a vintage autumn for the hookers of the Home Nations - Ford gets it by default)

Good to see O' Mahony made the Planet Rugby team of the AI's as well. http://www.planetrugby.com/story/0,2...588423,00.html

David Attwood and Chris Robshaw are strange choices! I wouldve had POC and Warburton in there before either of them esspecially POC, he was outstanding in both his games.

McGrath, POC, Henshaw and Zebo were better than the alternatives Guzzard has given us. Ross ford cant scrummage worth a crap either so Best can count himself unlucky too.

POC not being in Gusset's side is a pure wind up. He is comfortably one of the best two locks in the NH, if not the world, still.

Stat attack: Made a team-high 22 carries this autumn, averaging 6.9 metres over the gainline per carry and beating six defenders in the process, all this from only 150 minutes of action.

That is impressive TBF. Kearney aint everyones cup of tea but he gets an especially hard time on here. I would generally have somewhat of a default position in these situations that if he is picked, consistently at a high level by a variety of coaches (which Kearney has been Schmidt, Deccie, McGeechan etc) then it must be myself who is wrong. RK is one of these instances.

Rabshow and Attwood isn't worth commenting on. Guscott is a clown as a pundit in general.
He's a guy who gets up at six o'clock in the morning regardless of what time it is.

I'm not saying he's a bad player - he is very, very good at a few things (fielding, kicking). However, he is nowhere near the level of Dagg, Folau or Brown as an attacker so for Guscott to call him a "great attacking player" is just plain wrong.

Agree with the above, the stats would also back this up, Geordan Murphy & Girvan Dempsey were regularly rotated in & out of the side & both have more international tries scored than Kearney. Dempsey in particular was always viewed as being a conservative FB so the fact that he has more tries for Ireland than Kearney (admittedly Demspey has played more matches) speaks volumes for me, in terms of attacking play, even if tries scored doesn't tell the full story.

He needed to hit his English quota in the XV, unsurprising really, he's as one eyed as the worst of pundits.

If you bear in mind that this article does NOT state that it's a "XV of the AIs", but is billed simply as a World XV, then it's definitely worth a giggle. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/rug...-make-cut.html

                            Rhys Webb...........lol.

Not half the player Murray is. Murray may not have been stratospheric in some aspects this Autumn..... But his work rate, his defensive effort, his box kicks......

No one else in the NH is close.
