POM should been in there alright. If he hadn't missed the Eyetalian game then it would be down to him and Brown/Care.

Still not tired of the Dave Kearney jokes then?

Brown for me, I's say. He's been threatening this level of performance for a couple of years and is now delivering regularly. Of the Irish, POM missed match, Kearney missed a tackle and Sexton missed those kicks, which would all count against for this sort of individual measure.

                    No Tommy O'Donnell?

Joking aside I thought POM might get a nod, obviously the Italian game and getting subbed off most matches didn't help. Next irish captain without doubt.

I think Sexton, Brown, Care or Heaslip.

As an aside launchbury, lawes and toner fighting it out for the row in the test side at the next lions tour, who'd have thunk it.

Of the Irish listed, I'd pick Healy. Otherwise it'd be between Brown & Care.

Interesting team of tournament based on stats, and then a few picked by pundits.

Brown will take it by a distance. I couldn't argue with that tbh. In no particular order, Farrell, POM, Huget, Care, Launchbury, Henry and Trimble have also been very good, and I can't really fault them having BOD in there - consistently in the best 5 Ireland players in each match although there weren't many standout moments aside from Italy. Pick of the Welsh was Jamie Roberts.
