Hmmm... sometimes I think that Gear try shouldn't have been allowed, led with the forearm against Earls. Great try otherwise, came from an overthrow in our lineout of course.

Our lineout really is pish these days. Give me a fat, non-mobile hooker who can lodge a ball in a cows arse from 30m than some mobile demi-flanker who can't throw for ****e.

Poorish attempt at a tackle from Earls if ya ask me....

Must say that these are bizarre choices. 3 out of 4 of those tries shouldn't even be considered, given the paucity of the opposition.

9 times out of 10 Habana's kick ahead would have ended up in touch or going dead, which was an unnecessary risk given his field position.

Well Gear had a blatant elbow smash to the face and the first try there was a 3rd man block so 2 out of the 4 tries had fouls committed by the scoring team in the lead up. But then again it is the AB's, if they werent in there the moaning would have been unbearable so probably just as easy to give it to them.

Agreed! Even leaving out infringements, there were surely better tries scored this year?

Savea's try - meh. Ball sat up for him nicely and he only had to step one man.
Gear's try - looking at it again just reminded me of how blatant that was. He didn't raise his arm on impulse, he actually slowed down, turned towards Earls and consciously stuck up the elbow/forearm. Looked pretty deliberate to me, although Earls should have gone lower.
Habana's try - ran a nice line but I guess it was a pre-ordained move. Good finish though.
Malzieu's try - pretty special solo effort. Pick of the bunch imo.

Malzieu's best of the bunch for me

Earls would have been better sticking on his own wing and not bursting his ass to cover the other one, and getting an elbow and criticism for his trouble .... Ireland were gone at that stage. And our midfield defence was completely caught out after we lost our own throw. It was like a try Benoit Baby got against Ireland at Lansdowne Road a good years ago. You've got to win your own ball!

Would like to suggest that both of these are better than the ones nominated!

Imhoff's classy try for the Pumas V Wales a fortnight ago for starters.

                          First try was a cracker.

2nd showed Darcy being manshamed defensively, and Murray delivering a nasty cheapshot.

Landajo's Try is an awful lot better than Savea's try anyway
