And the RFU officially apologise to the officials for Jones’ comments but Jones doesn’t .... disgraceful.

This England team has inordinate sway and leeway. Abnormally so

right decision but shambolically handled. Loads of fans have already travelled down. should have been cancelled yesterday

I'm not convinced that it is the right decision, but it ought to have been made days ago.

player welfare really has come on leaps and bounds....
They need to have serious player rotation during that period. Give starting minutes to guys like Farrell, McCloskey, Cooney, Ross Byrne, Dillane, etc, guys who are backups or on the fringes of the 23. Play these guys, see what they've got. The younger fellas, give them a go at the Wallabies, Boks, Blossoms, what could it hurt ? That's the whole point of developing talent, to utilize it. If Andy Farrell isn't prepared to play more than the same 25-28 guys in matches against tier 1 opponents, then he isn't fit for the job. No sense is wearing the players into the ground

Notwithstanding that he’s a plonker, Matt Williams has a good article on the IT today re England’s onfield behaviour.

he's 100% correct. They are a dirty team at this stage. They've gone beyond the cynical stuff that the All Blacks usually pull a few time sper match with and have passed into full blown dirtiness b/c they know they can get away with it.

It makes me laugh that among NH rugby journalists, especially Irish ones, the opinion is that they just somehow had a bad day at the WC final. "they're the best team in the world" is a phrase which has been used repeatedly during this 6N. They are no such thing. They bully teams with illegal play and that's pretty much how they win. Yes, they had a great win against NZ, but that NZ team wasn't the All Blacks of a few years ago. The Wallabies beat the pants off them in the Rugby Championship, and the Boks had played them pretty evenly over the past 2 seasons. The Springboks were able to run against England's vaunted rush defense and absolutely dismantled the England pack from start to finish. Almost every scrum was an absolute destruction of the English pack. That was an absolute ass whipping up and down the pitch. South Africa wins that match 9 out of 10 times for me. England have to play dirty to win, not the mark of a great team at all. France showed them up as well and that French team got away with one in Cardiff and lost to the Scots.

England are going to miss Kruis next season and I think the Vunipolas will be gone as well. They have had Ireland’s number over the last two six nations games( the RWC warm up was completely irrelevant) but I expect Ireland to win next season in Dublin as long as they are refereed, which they weren’t by Peyper six weeks ago.
