He has only played a couple of games. Tough to say he hasn’t imposed himself.

They're gonna lay into Ireland sans foreplay or compliments, the red tsunami in the opening minutes will be mental stuff.

Whole ground bawling at their anthem
Might work against them. There is quite a bit of pressure on them, if they lose they end up third and England win the championship, unprecedented for a team to be in their position.

But then very tough to say welsh will be spooked by him in team or that they fear him.

You only had to watch the coverage of the Ospreys V Munster game to realise the Welsh fear him.

I don’t care if they fear him. I just care that he does loads of damage at the breakdown. He and POM can get stuck in there.

Tadhg starting will be a great shout. We're going to be scrambling and be on the back foot more than usual in this match. He's a massive momentum shifter in those with how he can turn ball over.

Would nearly suggest Leavy start with SOB to come on for impact.

With van der flier out, how about we go out and beat up the Welsh and send Gatland off on his merry way in the 6 nations! POM to 7 and bring Bernie in at 6, plenty of poaching ability in that back 5 to make up for a lack of a 7 against Navidi and Tipuric and we would have 4 jumpers. It would be Seanie and Dillane off the bench then.
Sob isnt up to his high standards yet, Leavy hasn’t had much game time this season,

We can bate this lot, if we put em under pressure.

Kilcoyne is better coming off the bench. Punching holes when bodies are tiring,

I’ve never quite understood why Ireland always seems to be the last to make team announcement; is there a point to it, or is it just cute hoorism?

Ireland (v Wales): Rob Kearney; Keith Earls, Garry Ringrose, Bundee Aki, Jacob Stockdale; Johnny Sexton, Conor Murray; Cian Healy, Rory Best (capt), Tadhg Furlong; Tadhg Beirne, James Ryan; Peter O'Mahony, Sean O'Brien, Josh van der Flier, CJ Stander.

Replacements: Niall Scannell, Dave Kilcoyne, Andrew Porter, Quinn Roux, Jack Conan, Kieran Marmion, Jack Carty, Jordan Larmour.

Very happy with that - who'd have thought SOB and Beirne to start (well me actually!!)

Great to see Beirne, Sob , Marmion getting their chance .
Its not a game for massive changes but the changes made won’t weaken it .
I’d probably have left Larmour at 15
4 Connacht lads in the squad is great
When their numbers dwindled from 50 to 8, the other dwarves began to suspect Hungry

4 in the back row? Great to see Beirne in there.
