    Moody Out

England flanker Lewis Moody will miss the rest of the RBS Six Nations Championship after having surgery on his shoulder.
The Leicester forward had been part of Brian Ashton's plans
for last weekend's Calcutta Cup clash with Scotland, but he was forced
to withdraw due to a painful left shoulder.
Moody hoped the problem would recover in time for him to return to the England fold after the forthcomingencounter with Italy.
However, scans showed he had further damaged a tear to his
labrum muscle during training, forcing the combative flanker to undergo
    surgery on Wednesday night.
Moody, who had been in sparkling form for the Tigers, scoring
five tries in his last six games, could not hide his misery at missing
    the rest of the tournament.
"I'm devastated to miss the rest of the Six Nations because I have been playing really well for Leicester," he moaned.
"I felt like I was getting back to the top of my game.
"I'm now aiming to be back for the EDF Energy Cup semi-final against Sale on March 24."
Moody's operation has left him with two pins in his shoulder,
and an initial six-week spell on the sidelines has been recommended by
    the doctors.
