    Marshall, Herring, Byrne
    Bealham, Herbst, Archer
    Dillane, Roux, Threadwell, Holland
    TOD, Ruddock, Conan, JVDF, Jordi

    McGrath, Williams, Blade
    Byrne, Keatley, Carty,
    McCloskey, Farrell, Arnold,
    Gilroy, Sweetnam/Lyttle, Adyolokun,

The Ireland A squad. They would beat any team outside top 10 IMO. Some depth now facing into RWC.

If it was picked today imo 17/14.

    Healy, McGrath,
    Best, Scannel, Cronin
    Furlong, Ryan, Porter
    Ryan, Toner, Henderson, Kleyn,
    POM, Beirne
Leavy, SOB (or I fear, another 7)
    CJ,
    Murray, Marmian, McGrath/cooney
    Sexton, Carberry
    Henshaw, Aki, Ringrose, Scannell
    Conway, Earls, Larmour, Stockdale, Kearney

I expect to see scannell play the odd game in the p14 at 10 this year at the request of st. joe. he's the best option to cover 10/12, both of which would be light. Henshaw underwhelmed at 12 in Oz IMO. Aki and Scannell would give 2 great differing options at 12.

There is possibly leeway for another 1 or 2 young bucks over the next year. The likes of Max Deegan now could have a breakthrough season with club.

Cooney at McGrath's (the small, not the big) place because he can cover 9-10.
Why Jean Kleyn or Quinn Roux? Is Ultan Dillane lost?
What will be SOB's condition? With Tadgh Beirne playing lock or back row, we maybe won't need so many backrowers.
And anyway, would be surprised we won't have any injuries to report (I keep my fingers crossed so it won't happen)

I believe that Cooney can cover ten at an absolute stretch. I think you will need 6 props and 3 hookers, but probably only 8 other forwards with 1 or 2 5.5's. Leaving 14 backs, 3 *9, 2*10, 3 centres and a 13.5 and 5 back 5 players.

I'd say Farrell has a fair chance depending on form.

Writing off Farrell so soon? I'm excited for his come back.

Farrell has to go. Kearney out and Henshaw can cover full back.

It's a 31 man squad for the RWC, so you'd probably lose one of the props. You'll also need a third player to cover fly-half given the restrictions around calling up replacements and the fact that none of the other backs have any experience of covering that position, so would need to lose a player from elsewhere, probably from the second row.

Just the 31 man squad allowed I think? I reckon we could also go with 5 props like 2015 with Killer likely to be the unlucky one.

A lot depends on SOB being fit and on form. He'd really add an extra spark to the team

    2 from Marmion/McGrath/Cooney is a tough pick
    2 from Scannell/Cronin/Herring is a tough pick
If it's him vs Roux he must have a shot...

Not much too disagree with there, but remarkable that it woukd leave ‘capped’ players at home like....
Herring, Killer, Dillane, Roux, Murphy, Vdf, Cooney, Byrne, Farrell, nor leave any space for late breaking form players.
